They will still release details over the phone to people directly involved (hence certain questions are asked) but you are right in that it is generally insurers and law firms who will make the request, and a copy of the file will be released at the conclusion of the case after a payment of around £60 has been paid.BikerGran wrote:I worked in a police Accident Records department years ago, and things may have changed, but as far as I recall they would only release the records to the insurance co or solicitors.
