I did not have the owners manual so it was good to get a copy of that. Got the workshop manual already.
I purchased the bike from a good friend who also recommended this site. He i known as Sidestand on here and has far too many bikes
When I went to pick the bike up he had seven there and one next door in the garage. All bikes in MINT condidition including this one.

To be honest the tyres felt hard and looked OK so its not his fault. I should have known with the handling of the front end something wasn't quite right. Im not complaining as he did me a great deal on the bike.
Wen't out today with the correct tyre pressure. WOW what a difference. Handles not bad at all in fact really well and I'm still grinning from ear to ear. Also had a Meta alarm fited today. Great job by the guy that fitted it.

As probably mentioned already, if you use the alarm, also use a battery conditioner to keep the battery well charged. You do not want to try to start a Falco with a below par battery. With a good battery it will almost always start first time on the button. If low you can get dash resets and at the very worse damage to the starter clutch (or sprag clutch).
Glad you're starting to enjoy it now, the grin will get wider still!

Been on an Optimate since I got it and Sidestand always kept it on one too

Well I've a meta alarm and an optimate but TBH I never bother with the optimate unless I'm going away on business for a week or 2 - and doubt if it really needs it then.
Think the main thing is to ride it regularly.

Andy's right, if your battery is in decent nick and you ride regularly you should be OK, only started using my battery conditioner more as my battery got tired, and it's worked so well I ain't got round to changing the battery yet.

Sorry about the TP Waspy - the Falco hadn't been out for a couple of months before you got it, apart from a quick trip round the block !
I should have checked the pressures though - but was very busy that week - & you did sneak up on me to prise her away
Shall still keep looking in here though if that's OK - knowing me, I might get another 'prilia sooner than you all think

It was a bit of a rush on you

The funny thing is Mick they looked OK . Them BT014 appear a VERY stiff tyre and not having rode a sporty type bike before I thoght it was just me. Its only when I took Karen on the back for a blast and had to fight the feckin biketo get it back to the other side of the road after an overtake that I thought this couldn't be right and was thinking about suspension when someone at work the on here mentioned tyre pressure.
All's OK now and I can't wait to go on a decent ride. I'm having the new tyres fited on Saturday anyhow.
