Failing that, a drawing of the bracket and some measurements would be greatly appreciated.

I'll see what I can do :smt002

Old comments may come back to haunt you... Did you ever find the Scottoiler bracket you made up for the standard Falco swingarm, Andy?

And if so...
Yeah I cleaned it up and it's about somewhere ..... do you want it?
Hi Andy, certainly do! :smt002 The Scottoiler delivery fixing is something that's been niggling at me as 'unfinished business'.

For the benefit of Viking (and possibly others) I'll take a couple of photos of the bracket prior to fitting it and post them up on here, just so 'the knowledge' is shared around. Shall I PM you my address?

Pictures already posted earlier in this thread.
I'll add some dimensions (not that most of them are critical .... made it up as I went along rather than designed it).

Mango, PM me your address and I'll dig out the bracket and send it to you.

Did mine yesterday, fit's like Nooj's, but with the normal airbox.
The damper elbow was a bit tricky to fit but is ok now (hose clip), routed behind the frame to the rear sprocket.
All what's left to do is to ride it :smt077

Doh - just realised I've not sorted this or sent the bracket to Mango.

Sorry :smt009

Trouble is having dug it out, I now can't remember where I put it .......

Finished mine yesterday as well (only started it two weekends ago :smt018 )

Fitted same as FlyingKiwi's, on the rear subframe next to the relays. Not partial to the dual injector setup - the bracket can move under the cable ties (sideways across the bike) until it's fouling the rear sprocket, so I think a bit of glue is required as well. Couldn't figure a way of bolting it (so may have to produce a bracket, D-Rider-style)

I also ran the delivery tube behind the swingarm (between the hugger & swingarm, same as on D-R's pics), and where it finishes is out of view - tidy (and away from the chain), but it means you can't see where the oil level is for priming

Struggled a bit with the vacuum tube, eventually wound up "levering" it on, using a piece of wood against the frame, lifting the coupling straight up. Not too much pressure, more a matter of keeping the coupling square-on to the vacuum nozzle while lifting. I honestly cannot see how it is possible to fit that by hand - even with boiling water to soften the end etc

It's a real b@st@rd to fit. Did a lot of heating with a hairdryer and stretching it and eventually (after I'd given up all hope) it did go on .... yes, by hand.

I was doing the wire mod the same day so I had a soldering iron handy :)

Its his age poor old boy!

Every morning he gives thanks for having a pee - sometimes after he has woken up!

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Morning all,

I got the 'Oiler fitted last Saturday. Took a bit longer than I expected, as I had trouble figuring out where to put the oil reservoir. I didn't want it lying horizontal under the seat / ducktail, and there was no usable space anywhere. So it got mounted inside the frame rails beside the front cylinder.

The vacuum tube went onto the little spigot thing on the RHS of the front throttle body. There was no way that black plastic elbow was going to fit, so I used one of the brass pipe things and some clear plastic tube I had lying around to make up an adaptor.

The dual injectors are held on with cable ties - I'm not super happy about it, but they're not too obvious. :smt002 A few rides in the rain and all the road crap will hide them anyway...

I didn't get a chance to take the bike out as it was absolutely pouring it down with rain, and I had to zoom out in the car to pick up Mrs. Viking from work. It's all primed and ready to go, just have to get the flow right - it's set to about half-way, so should be good enough for now.

Apologies for the crap photos - I used my phone to take them, and it was a tad dark in the garage for it's poor little brain.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Did you just wedge the oil reservoir in there, or is it located in some way, like cable tied to anything?
You're the second person to try fitting it here, and it seems like a good idea, as long as it doesn't get too hot or damaged by vibration.

The ScottOiler came with some little plastic / rubber loops with large tabs and a tube of superglue.

The oil reservoir goes into a loop (it's a very snug fit!) and the tabs then get glued to the frame. I have no idea how long the glue will last.

If it does fall off it can't go very far, as there are wires and tubes everywhere in there.

I did the same with mine, inspired by Nooj. We'll see how it works.

Hey Nooj,

How well does this mounting position work? Or have you been too busy attacking your poor bike with the hacksaw to do any riding?? :smt002
