If you look at most of the advertising used by Aprilia when advertising the bike, the majority is RED

Also the sexiest cars in the world (Ferrari befor you start) are predominantly RED

Whilst we can argue till the cows come home about colour, the absorption of light relating to additional BHP blah blah :smt015

One thing you can not denie is that

RED IS SEXY and therefor THE MOST DESIRABLE

I concur that Ferraris also come in Black and ufortunatly Yellow

First posting,
Only found the site recently, after the MCN exposure.
Had my Falco for nearly 6 years now
Looked around after 1 year but not seen anything better, so stopped looking.
Hope to meet up with some of you through the year, maybe the lads going to the IOM, stopping in Crosby.
So that makes 3 Falcos on the island.

Oh nearly forgot, Red is best.
Hi Falken... 6 years? what took you so long? :smt001

Hi, Syltiz
Must be a slow learner.
It's all these button things on the keyboard in front of me.
They take some learning to play these computer things.

Now guys I don't want to spoil the fun but they all look bloody ace. . The falco must be one of the few bikes that looks so cool in any colour, no flashy (crap) decals. At the ride out in September we had black, bronze, Dale's Blue and carbon job looked brill, silver, Pierre's red monster. and they all look stunning. And dare I say it -- all too fast for anyone but a racer to push to it any where near its limits.

Anyway red used to be fastest but then I got a bronze one and bugger me its even faster. :smt002

I am sure as you browse this site and the archived ARS site you will come across many mods, some functional, some purely bling. Hope to see you around.

It was the "last" one. Typically!!

All the black ones were gone typically.

Have to get together with both of you once my Falcos back together again. It's gettin there, shouldn't be too long now. My arm and knee are still a bit dodgy, but been out on the old CBR1000F a couple of times. First trip was a bit nervous, twitching at every car waiting to come out of a side road, but went down to Newark and back last week and went much better. :smt001
Hope to catch you soon.

Fast Falco colours.

#44 Post by HowardQ » Fri Jan 19, 2007 10:21 pm

Back on the colour discussion.
The Falco looks good in any colour, although I have an obvious bias for the dark side. As for the fastest, this is where the YFFF have their main problem, even though they look fine when you wheel em out of the garage.
One good ride out in the summer, and you can't see what colour they are for all the squashed bugs! The half tonne of squashed bugs obviously slows em down a bit as well and stuffs up the aerodynamics.
