Looking at what else is for sale, I'm very tempted to go and have a look for myself now.. :smt005 :smt005
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

Absolute & total scam AND its all been done BEFORE:

http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/sho ... 1-million

Ive just wasted TWO HOURS trying to contact Ebay but just keep going round & around....

Report an Item or User and all you get to do these days is flag the item or user, NOTHING ELSE, no additional data can be entered and I cant even find any Live Chat anymore, Ebay have reached a whole new level of pathetic for me now.

I thought I'd found an option with:

http://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

But it seems they are mainly interested in Phishing & Malware if no money has been lost.

I do think a genuine (past) Ebay user (kally1962) has had an account Hi-jacked, looking at recent items - I was looking at one of the 'sale' bikes I knew something about - Ducati Diavel, 111572609926 - which lead me to the Legalbeagles site via a Google Image search (very handy).

I'm just glad no-one here got caught.

Cheers - Frank

NB - You wont be able to see the auctions, Thankfully, as Ebay have just pulled all the above auctions OFF - RESULT!

I reported it but wasn't able to provide details. Worryingly the seller apparently had good feed back for many transactions.

There, fixed that for you!

My guess is it is an existing account that had good feedback, that has been hacked and taken over by some low life form.

Nick, you know you can get a much newer, powerful, safer and more reliable bike for that kind of money :smt002
Newer ,safer, more powerful, more reliable? I have the Falco for that!

besides I wasn't even planning on riding the rzv.

i think its an image that Mrs Nicky may struggle with as well

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

What you do in your own home, Nick is not for me to judge! :smt042

I had a phone call today from a lady called Nicky. She had found this topic through a Google search and I assume used the link in my sig to find my number. She explained that she and her husband have had dealings with the same scammers and asked me to copy and paste a transcript of their correspondence.

Hi Karl

Thanks for taking the time today. As I said we too have met online Anna & Ian Whittley.

I have reported him to Paypal, MCN and Rider Magazine. Lets hope not too many people get stung by him. I was told by ebay that an individual can not have the pay after delivery account.

Here is a copy of our correspondence with him. You may copy and paste to the RiderSite.

Hi and thanks for the email. I am sorry for the late reply. The bike is in very good condition, no problems here, all documents available. I must tell you that it belonged to my brother who unfortunately passed away 3 months ago. The price I am looking for is £3,600.00 (I can also have it delivered within the UK for £150). Please see the attached pictures. Let me know if you are still interested. It's located in Inverness-shire, Highland.

See below some info on the bike:

10 KAWASAKI GTR 1400 CAF KTRC

You could tour Europe in style and comfort on this fantastic bike. This is the latest spec with Traction Control ABS, Heated Grips and Factory 2 Piece Luggage. This is a one owner bike that has covered 19615 miles and is in excellent overall condition.

10 MONTHS MOT
4 MONTHS TAX

This motorcycle is HPI clear and will come with an up to date Service History.

Thank you,
Anna & Ian Whittley

Hi Ian

Very sorry to hear about your brothers passing, however I am very interested in this bike.

In the pics there appear to be something like scratches on the panniers and fairings near the seating area or are these just shiny reflections?

I could get a flight up this Saturday (return Sunday) so how close are you to Inverness airport? You are forecasted for snow so flying seems the best solution

As you can appreciate before booking a flight I would need to do my own HPI check so I'd need frame and engine numbers and a reg number.

If you could send this info to me by return I can be there for a viewing this weekend :)

cheers

Howard

The bike is still for sale. No dents, or marks on the bike. All paperwork present. I do not reside in Inverness, we are based in Berlin, Germany. I will get somebody to bring it to you if you decide to buy it but we have to close the deal through eBay. My friend is not in Inverness and will be traveling from a distance so I must be sure and not put him on the road based on words, no one would, because we have no one in Inverness.

Delivery can be arranged in 3-5 days and you will have the chance to inspect it before I get paid, only if we go through PayPal as well. We will use PayPal - Pay After Delivery which gives you 14 days for the bike to be delivered before any funds are released to me. PayPal will securely hold the funds. Please read below about PayPal (Pay after delivery).

https://www.paypal.co.uk/pay-after-delivery-more/

Everything is covered by eBay, they will keep your money secured during the inspection period. This purchase protection guarantees that the bike is exactly as I described it; basically, once delivered, you'll have 5-7 days to inspect it and if you decide not to keep it you will get refunded in no time and they will charge me with the return costs. I will get paid only after you confirm that you received the bike in good order.

If you want it, let me know your ebay user id, paypal email along with a phone number and your name, address where it must be delivered so i can register the sale with ebay to proceed.

If you will decide to not go through now then is not a problem I still quite have a few more offers from potential buyers. Hopefully, I made myself understood and we will be closing the deal. I look forward to hearing from you soon

Thanks
Anna & Ian Whittley

Hi Ian

Thanks for the reply.

Ok this sounds like a workable plan. However I have noticed that your bike seems to have gone from my watch list on ebay. Ebay says the item number is invalid. So how do we process this sale through ebay under these circumstances.

Please re supply the current item number for the bike.

Also please advise what we would need to do to arrange this delivery once you have my details.

Thanks

Howard

THEN WE FOUND YOUR LINK TO THEIR NAME ON GOOGLE. AND WROTE THE FOLLOWING. So thanks for sharing the info.

Hi Ian

Sorry to be emailing again, but after thinking about this and talking to my wife we have decided to wait and source one that may come up closer to home so we can look at it first.

But thank you for taking the time to come back to me and good luck with selling it.

Howard.
