I rang work yesterday and they have kindly given me a full weeks paid holiday now (two days of which will have to come out of next years entitlement) however I received this email this morning from City Link:

'I am sorry to hear that your goods have not yet arrived with you.

When I received your email, I checked our system which shows that your goods are ‘missing’. We immediately began to search the depot but unfortunately, nothing has turned up yet. I appreciate that this is inconvenient for you and I can only apologise.

I am afraid that this means you need to go back to the company you ordered the goods from so that you can arrange either a refund or a replacement to be sent on to you. They may then make a claim against us for the cost of the replacement.

I will now close this case. However, if there’s anything else I can help you with, please do contact me.

Thank you again for contacting us. I do hope that this is resolved quickly for you, and I am sorry that I can’t be of more direct help.'

I am not a happy bunny right now. I had a feeling this was gonna go tits-up. :smt013

@ anzacinexile: I've forwarded the entire email on to you. As you can see you will have to refund me through Pay Pal and then make a claim against City Link (I'd tell em they were brand new n worth £300!) lol

So pissed off right now. :smt010

I would be very tempted to take some legal advice on this - BEFORE you let them close the case.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I had £300 quids worth of bits from the states get lost after they'd landed in this country. A weeks worth of phone calls and emails failed to turn them up. Strangely they found them the day I emailed them asking for the correct details to use on the form for the small claims court.

I've had problems with couriers before, really irritating! Do your bloody job properly.
They can make it a bit of a hassle to get your refund though, looking for any way out of paying, similar to insurance companies...

Hope you lads get a good outcome though.

Ive had big problems with Shitty Link, they left a faled delivery notice, saying if they tried again the goods would be returned to the supplier.
The delivery address was on the same road as their depot, a mile away in a straight line yet they refused to specify AM or PM delivery.
Icollected it myself
One of our guys at work used to drive for City Link, FRAGILE meant see how far you can throw it, the manager got fired when about £6000 of pilfered goods were found in his garage

Not Shitty Link. I will never use them again and will try my best to avoid buying from companies that send stuff I buy via this den of thieves.

Bought a monitor for my son several years ago with some other stuff. The other stuff turned up but the monitor didn't. Went back through the company through which I bought the stuff and got so fed up I even drove up to Manchester to confront them face to face.
The chap I spoke to told me they'd had a lot of stuff go missing with Shitty Link.
Eventually this was unresolved as when the goods were delivered to work the receptionist didn't realise they were signing for a delivery of 2 parcels on one form and although they confirmed only 1 had been delivered, the "evidence" suggested both had.

It was an expensive lesson to learn.

Refund received anzacinexile with many thanks (though Pay Pal charged me £5+ !) :smt017
As for Shitty Link: Ive had a problem with them before: They 'lost' a pair of tyres I'd bought a few years back and then tried to claim they'd delivered em to me on the day they were sposed to! After MANY lengthy phone calls (and threats with Court proceedings) they finally caved (after nearly two months) and admitted they had lost it at the same depot (Durham) that the Rene's went missing! Same claim: That they'd been picked-up but never scanned-in at the depot... :smt012
Ive had a look online and a LOT of people seem to have had similar problems with em. :smt009
Im guessing the box they were sent in was pretty bloody big and heavy so how the hell do they 'lose' it!?!?

I think they loose it by knowing what they are delivering and having a buyer for the goods... driver knocks on door.. no response so drops card through letterbox saying ' parcel left by back door/ in recycling box/ behind bin. Driver then rings third party to tell them Its by the back door, help yourself

..... so Aprilia Falco parts ........ right, which of you b@st@rds has got them then?

Fortunately, having gone for the single exhaust option, I can exclude myself from this line of enquiry

Bad Karma...

#41 Post by GregD-UK » Fri Nov 16, 2012 11:12 pm

Hi all,

APOLOGIES FM for giving bad karma on my last post! I honestly didn't think the driver/store person would steal em :smt017

Pity, I would of liked to hear those bad boy's fired up......

May go through to westgate road for breaky/lunch on bike in the morning. See who's about and can't not ride the bike with a crack of sunshine out. You go up the hill FM?

Later...

P.S. The sisters were and are good looking, no rohypnol was used in the telling and physical episodes of this story :smt003

I've got no doubt that they're lost in an employees garage... Sad but probably accurate.

Forgot to update!
They arrived eventually (a bit battered it has to be said by Shitty Link) and anzacinexile and I came to an agreement over price.
Alls well that ends well. :smt004
BTW, where have other Rene/Hi Level users mounted the actual can straps? Any pics would be greatly appreciated!
