I use Goldfren carbon ceramic on the back and they made the crappy rear brake much better, so will try them on the front next change, (still on standard discs).
Using Armstrong HH pads at the front now and they are a bit too harsh for road use, as they bite really suddenly. Have to be really careful, seems to be all or nothing even with just one or two fingers on the lever.

Has anyone used the Galfer pads, either with the stock discs or with the Galfer discs? Thinking about getting the discs when I pop the new wheels on, was wondering whether to get the speed kit (discs and pads) or get discs only and different pads (Alad mentioned good performance with Galfer discs/EBC pads)

Slightly cheaper to buy the speed kit, which comes complete with pads. But if they're crap, I'll pay the extra and get the ebc ones separately (as I've had ebc before and was quite happy). But if I can save a few quid, it'll go towards the new carpet I need after unpacking the wheels in the living room yesterday...

Strange, should go well with the Brembo Baggins kit.D-Rider wrote:I've recently fitted Ferrodo HH pads (or as Tim would prefer, Frodo pads).
Don't like them at all.
Wouldn't fancy HH pads on the Falco, bit grabby for my taste. They're good on stuff with crap sliding calipers though.

Needed something quickly and couldn't find much else for the 4 pad callipers.randomsquid wrote:Strange, should go well with the Brembo Baggins kit.D-Rider wrote:I've recently fitted Ferrodo HH pads (or as Tim would prefer, Frodo pads).

TBH there doesn't seem to be much choice out there.
As you say they are grabby, insensitive and noisy - especially at low brake pressures.
Still I guess I'm going to have to get used to them as it'll be some time before I manage to wear them out.
