Battery question

Mango, not sure when you will see this but what happens when you get the battery, they use the phrase fully charged out of the box, is that the case or do you have to give it some charge first?
Think I may get the battery at lunchtime today which is pretty good since I only ordered it at 1:00pm yesterday.

In and done, fired up first off, went for a ride turned it off and restarted it and again it was good.
One last and final question these can be kept on an optimiser?

Yes. The one on my VFR stays on an Accumate while we're away (the bike is in France), with no ill effects. One of the big pluses of these batteries is that they are more tolerant of being left uncharged for a period of time, and don't discharge as readily as ordinary batteries.
But if you can keep them topped up, I'd do so.

I never bother with a trickle charger.
Winter 2010 I left my ZX7R outside for a good two months, snow all over it.
When it came to start I put the key in the thing spluttered and span and spluttered and span and eventually fired up. I reckon it must have had a good minute (on and off of course) and the battery span it like a demon.
These batteries are just so full of poke.
First thing I always do with a new bike is buy a brand new battery.

I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?
