Damn damn damn! Sam and Tim, I now realise how you must have been feeling when offering support and kind wishes on the news about my dad over the New Year.
Stay strong for one another. Love to you and your family.

Since selling the Falco, I haven't been on the site as much but I do occasionally open up the General Chat section as this is defintely the best forum I've ever been on.
Usually, I get a good chuckle at a humorous post from somebody but not tonight. As is often the case on a forum, I haven't met you guys but having read some of your drivel, I feel like I kind of know you, so this news really is sh*t. My thoughts and best wishes also, to Sam, Tim and all of the family.

Strong? He's the most stubborn bloodyminded old git I know apart from myself.. :smt002

I'm sure Sam has considered commenting on here, but you know what he's like.. He'll get a roundtuit...

I know He appreciates the sentiments most genuinely. We both do and Thankyou so very much. It's genuinely appreciated.

I also know that if there's a sweepstake then
a. He's open to bribes
and b. he'll be in on it

:smt002 just make sure he pays up in advance, eh?

I will only run the sweepstake if I am nurse in charge.....

(and I know that Phil will love that comment!)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

He's right, as ever.

TBH the comments here, and on the mod's channel, have been overwhelmingly caring and I've been lost for words.

For the moment life goes on as usual. I came to terms with my own mortality many decades ago and have probably squeezed a century's living into the time I have had so no complaints.
Between us the wives and I leave three generations behind (totalling 26 + some spouses at the last count).
I guess I'm saying that on this occasion, selfish (and trite) as it may be, I'm celebrating a life far more than worrying about a death. Very few regrets.

Thanks for your kind thoughts, but don't be sad.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Bit of a coincidence that part of today was spent loading the RS camping gear in the boot of the car ready to deliver to Aladin? :smt020
