direct fit would be too easy, but very practical. I did see somewhere that someone made their own LED boards. Haven't got a clue though. Trying to have them incorporating the indicators as well.

Nooj made (and sold) them several years ago. I have a set and they are excellent.
Unfortunately he no longer produces them as the effort involved wasn't worth it for the small amount he made from them.

If you ever find that someone is selling a set, they are well worth having.

..... However, the man from Hinckley (furygan man) also made some .....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Just wondering what's the benefit of led cluster compared to just buying the LED indicator bulbs?

With my original boards I wanted to get a more distinct separation between the tail and brake lights. With bulbs (at the time) it was rubbish, the brake lights were only fractionally brighter than the tail lights, on my boards the brake lights were a LOT brighter and located away from the tail light LEDs for extra clarity.

But could you make them spell things?

I'd like OFF in the right hand lens and something else in the left one.
