It starts up instantly now, like you would expect a new bike to. When it was playing up, the engine would turn over instantly, but just would not fire. The Diag mode reported everything nominal, I'm hoping it was a loose ground or a bit of water somewhere which will behave itself now...Dalemac wrote:Having just gone through a dead starter relay myself, you may wish to check yours too. I would do what the others have suggested and look at the spark plugs# the fueling.

Always, if it won't fire, the first thing to try is the "oh-cr@p-I-must have-flooded-it" starting routine.
Hold the throttle wide open and hit the starter. That usually clears things out and it will fire.
If not, then it's probably something else - however as this is so easy to do, it's always worth a try.
Never start like this for a normal start up.
