Capri 70cc scooter with a Garelli engine, used it to go to school on initially.
A bit like this -

But a lot tattier.

First bike was a 500 Velocette with a sidcar chassis and a large box with bricks in.
Passed my test with that, then went straight home and took the sidecar chassis off!
Fun Time :smt003

I have been looking on ebay from time to time to see if any mbx 80s are listed but has they only sold for 2 years they are like rocking horse poo.
I have also had an RD 80 that broke down more often than it ran, and after the little end bearing went again i traded the broken down bike for a honda c70 which was amazing on petrol.
I have had 4 c90s also
a CB 450 dx
2 YBR 125s
A yamaha vity 125 scooter which i put 6000 miles on in 12 months
A cbf 600 then the 600 fazer then onto the falco.
I will be soon looking for a c90 again for the ride from lands end to john o groats
Tolerance will be our undoing.

700cc is pushing it a bit for a scrot!
I had a Vespa 50 to go to college on but that never made it past 105cc, or 75mph, or 300 miles between exploding.
When I passed my test I bought a GS250, then a CX, an FJ12, a c90 and many dull 250-500 twins. And a Guzzi. I have shit taste in bikes.

At 16 Ihad the Yamaha FS1E (Unrestricted as this was the early 70's :smt003 )

First proper bike at 17 was the Honda CD175 with the fully enclosed chain guard (could not afford the sportier CB175) and then went through a succession of RD250's, GT250's, KH250's and then the dreadfull CB250G5

First bike after passing my test was the Suzuki GT380 triple. Great bike if the middle cylynder did not keep seizing.

And then after that onwards and upwards :smt003

First bike, like a few here, was actually a "sports moped" :smt001; a Puch M50 Sport. My mate, who was a year older had a Yamaha RS100 like joecrx and I was rather envious. My first "real bike" was a green Kawasaki S1B 250cc triple; the proper one before they added a disc brake and tamed the motor! I loved that bike but eventually got tired of leaving all my knuckle skin on the cooling fins because I was forever cleaning the plugs, and moved from 2 strokes to 4 strokes.

Obviously that was a typo, now corrected, it was a slug.
I used to have to ride it up a very steep hill just before I got to school, which it didn't like very much.
My mates used to pass my at normal walking pace and seriously take the piss, but I got my own back, I could overtake them going down the hill on the way home, (JUST). :smt003

My own first legal roadbike was a Z440H

First legal bike that I rode on the road was an RD50 (Mate's bike that I borrowed now and then) as well as borrowing a mate's AR125 when he in turn borrowed my Capri for weekends.

I wont list the illegal ones from before I got my full licence but looking back they were almost all Suzukis. :smt017

First bike was a 500cc Falco as one of the injectors was knackered.

Mine started off as a slug and being young and stupid I decided to spend £700 on engine bits and porting. My mate spent his £700 on a brand new GP100. His was very nearly as quick and didn't blow up every time it got to somewhere windswept and desolate.

... my first bike was a nineteen eighty something Suzuki GN250. Being unemployed at the time, I saved up my dole and promptly took myself on a shoe-string tour of South Island (NZ). My idea of biking then was mostly army surplus clothing, and my flashy AGV helmet (which I think cost me about 1/3 of the total cost of my bike). One of the photos I took on a little disposable camera that trip (brooding sky, empty road, dramatic geography) was so pretty I chucked it at the bike mag I was into - 'KiwiRider' - and they published it!

Late? You were a mere child! I didn't start till I was 48!
