Well I'd not buy a Mille as I think they are just so damned ugly (sorry Mille owners but they are)Oddkid wrote:Not that i'm inciting a war between the superior Mille riders and the Falco lot, but wouldn't it have just been easier to buy a Mille in the first place? As far as i can tell Falco ownership goes as follows
Also you make some incorrect observations:
Few of us have done this - and while one or two of us have, you'll not find that carbuncle of a dustbin-sized can on the end of mine!Oddkid wrote: 2.) Replace exhaust system with the Mille one
Forks are the same on Mille and Falco.Oddkid wrote: 3.) Replace suspension with Mille Suspension
The real improvement is in fitting the Mille-R Ohlins kit front and rear
Fair enough - the one bit of the Mille that does look better - but also makes fitting the 2:1 exhaust a lot easier.Oddkid wrote: 4.) Replace swingarm with Mille one
Hmmm .... well on all the forums I know of less than half a dozen people that have fitted a Mille bellypan. It's not that simple. It is one of my ongoing projects though.Oddkid wrote: 5.) Fir belly pan...off a Mille
Though I'm not certain what you mean by "fir" .... something to do with evergreen trees ??

.... and your point is ?Oddkid wrote: 6.) Talk about how much better the Falco is than all other bikes
Because we haven't.Oddkid wrote: 7.) Deny you've just turned it into a Mille
It still has a better riding position than the Mille, it is still better tuned and geared for road riding than the Mille, it is still infinitely better looking than that munter that is the Mille ..... and the majority of the upgrade parts we have fitted are the Mille-R parts that would also be a significant upgrade for the standard Mille-munter.
Also, you've missed out the Mille-R OZ wheels that make a difference.
So, we end up with a bike that has cost a lot less than a Mille-R but with handling to match, better road manners and that looks much, much better.
..... I hope you have found this educational
