not sure i would agree here, mine gets a bit rough when it gets hot and even seems to miss a bit.
my fans have been playing up of late (not coming on all the time) so need a new temp sender i recon, it works when i push down on it but cleaned the terminals for a short term fix. back to doing it soon after.

The sender does get "sticky" sometimes. Take the sender off the bike and get a jug of boiling water and another filled with cold. Alternate between the two jugs to work it a few times, you can feel it click - usually gets it working again
