Can someone show me a close up picture of the standard side stand to compare the one I have to it.

Will take your advice on the shim service and make this the first priority.

Second will be the side stand, closer inspection of stand shows no cut out switch wiring. I am assuning this has given trouble at some point and been bypassed.

had a quck look on the flea bay and dont see a big lot of spares for these bikes. Any ideas of good sources for 2nd hand parts?

Shocks any ideas of what recomended. Have had a quick look through this site and seems that milie shocks seem to fit from 1998 to 2003? Is there any mod required for the linkage?

Budget a bit limited as im finishing off complteting a full rebuild to an RRV Fireblade in HRC colours.

Oh someone asked me where I live - Northern Ireland

Sounds like you have the stock stand, points almost vertically down with the foot pointing inwards?

This is my GSXR stand:

If fitting a Mille shock, the rule of thumb is you need the linkage that it used on the Mille - the geometry of the Falco and Gen1 Milles is basically the same but different shocks were designed to work with different linkages.
The earliest White Spring Sachs (and Ohlins of the same vintage) used the same linkages as the Falco - the later yellow spring sachs and the ohlins of that vintage uses a different set of linkages.

Best place for spares is the forums and e-bay for used bits and Ultimate Parts for new bits.

The vast majority of mechanical parts are interchangeable with the gen 1 Milles and Tuonos.
