Cheers, that's heartening. I was hoping it was a combination of stiffness and the roads round here looking like a WW1 battlefield.

Might soon be the variety with added dexion, self-tappers and duct tape. It'll probably be something pointlessly exotic to save a few pounds of weight.

Been to have a prod.

All bracketry looks solid and in good shape.
Shook the fairing bracket hard enough to set off the alarm without any untoward movement or creaking.

The dip beam was probably a bit loose, it did move when I gave it a shove.

There seems to be a hell of a lot of movement in the reflector though, and one of the wires is chaffed.

Thanks everybody for the input. I'd buy you a virtual beer, but I'm a tight bugger.
