I want a "V" twin and a different possible a more "relaxed" riding style, so far these three bikes fit the bill (well I like the look of them)

Whether they actually suit me, or whether I actually enjoy them.

Well that's another matter! hence the test rides

Try the Moto Morini Corsaro as well. That really is immense fun to ride!

Must admit I was taken with the Moto Morini, it looks the dogs danglies but the quality of the manufacture was awful (at least on the demo bike I looked at) and acc to the few test reports I've seen it hasn't improved. I have a friend with one and although I've yet to ride it he reckons it's ballistic!

Just been out tonight for a run with some friends (1st time since last October) what a fantastic buzz, great weather, nice and warm although the roads were a bit slippy, one of those "glad to be alive" nights out

Well I rode the SD today and to be blunt I didn't gell with it. It's a super bike, no doubt about it but my Falco has more punch and handles (IMHO) better (The SD is very highly geared mind)

To be fair to the SD it was new (55 miles) and I didn't give it the berries (just up to around 5k) but I didn't fall for it. It looks great and I'm sure the quality is there in abundance but..................you've gotta luv the thing right? and I didn't.

I did however fall in love with a 2007 Blue Tuono in the showroom and I think (I'm pretty sure) that's where my money is going........ famous last words or what
The bike looks bloody fantastic (IMHO) and I was in "lust" straight away

Just goes to show eh! I cannot understand those guys who part with their money without a test ride and just go for the latest blinged-up pocket rocket. Anyway good luck with the Tuono if you go that way.

Stick around though Rich - or I will need your e-mail address for those stupid questions I am too embarrassed to post on the forum :smt002

Did you get that sensitive throttle issue too on the SD ? As Nooj said, I thought it was just me. Every low speed bump transmitted to a slight arm movement and then a throttle jerk. Didnt like it myself.

F9 - go and get a copy of this book (if you don't already have it).

Read it

Ponder its message

Then think of this:

You know it makes sense.

Very funny Andy, very funny! :smt005 :smt005 :smt005

I'm ready for a change, simple as that!

Beck, I didn't get the jerky throttle at all and I was out riding it over Rishworth / Saddleworth Moor area where the roads are far from the smoothest, All in all it was an very nice bike with very few vices, The supsension needed a little tweak, and it needed a positive gearchange and struck me as a bike that needed to be ridden, rather than a lazy easy ride some bikes give, but I didn't come back thinking "I've got to have one of these".

I was disappointed I didn't feel that way to be honest as I had convinced myself this was going to be the bike that finally drew me away from the Falco, but it wasn't to be

Shame that Falco9, I like the look of the SD, but as you say if it doesn't push the 'go' button then its probably for the best.

The Tuono is mental as well (well I think so) shame you need to stop every hour to fill it up :smt005

So Falco9 that is change for change's sake.

It probably follows that your Falco is pretty changed too. You could always put it back to standard and start over again.....

Sorry, not meaning to be hard on you, to each his own and 'vive le differance' . It is a good excuse to chew the cud and look at what is out there.

I looked at a Tuono the other day and thought it was very nice., good for popping down the shops and stuff.......
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

Think about it's servicing, parts availability and customer support. Haven't you had enough? :smt003
