no it wasn't sunny at the weekend at all, then bright sunshine monday and tuesday

still went out and did about 60 miles or so on saturday but wobbling about in the rain isn't really fun..

though you do get a good dose of adrenlin opening the throttle in the wet and feeling the back end squirming about :)

Thanks also for the trip down memory lane, D_Rider; Carbs indeed! I'm now thinking it might need a trip to the dealer to check the ECU. O me miserum.
Sorry - you mentioned BM and I was transported back to opposed twins of the 70s and the era of carbs ..... probably as I've had half an eye on ebay for them (not that I'm looking with any seriousness).
Forgot that they might have brought one or two of their components into the 21st century ....

No need to apologise. I have very fond memories of my 1978, T reg R100S in red. A wonderful bike that served me well for thousands of miles here and in Europe. However, they are definitely an acquired taste after riding Japanese twins, triples and fours. I'd happily have one now especially the fully faired RS. The K is definitely 21st century although that's probably not entirely advantageous and may force me to use a dealer for the first time for something other than an MoT. I suppose that's progress. :smt017
