The worst call centres named and shamed
BT's broadband customer services were the worst with a 13 minute, 49 seconds wait to speak to a person. Although the call was free from a landline, it would come in at £2.08 on a typical mobile phone tariff.

Yeah I got to the point I could talk the helpdesk gadgy thru the procedure, the speed test, the results....
Cant remember the guy but in the end one of them looked at my record on the computer, realised just how many times it'd been done (over 15) and cut straight to the chase.. took all the symptoms down, when i was going to be in, phoned the engineers, discussed it with them, phoned me back having arranged for an engineer to call. He was Indian, but definately one of the better call centre blokes.
The line was replaced but it still gives low performance due to distance from the exchange and the rest of the lines in the area...
As for them being crap.. I got a free wifi printer (about 70 quid's worth) when I complained about BT and their service.. that was for BT Vision.

I rechecked on Infinity, still not planning to install it into our area.. thats with some out of the way places already having a 2013/14 install date for infinity services. It doth suck and blow at the same time..

I just received a letter from Virgin that as a valued customer I am one of only a few thousand that will shortly have my broadband speed doubled at no additional cost.

I wonder how many this "few thousand" actually is .... are you another?

Also, I wonder what my theoretical speed is now and what it will supposedly double to. It'll be interesting to find out.
