Not sure of the capacity ..... which is why I didn't include it in the quote .... so the only thing I answered was whether or not it fits ....cornish mafia wrote: And with the "no it isn't" does that mean NO it isn't to being 20 L or NO it isn't to fitting the bike ?

Got my eyes on a 1999 metal tank and am thinking of buying it just to have a look at how bad it is ..............Was hoping D-rider would have all the info as to why it won't fit .....HINT HINT....
Would be nice if it was an easy mod ......

'fraid that's all I know.
TBH I didn't know there were ever any metal tanks - you learn something every day.

Go on be a pioneer. I'm thinking that the front would be a pretty close fit and would be easy enough to fabricate a bracket to make it fit right.
Air boxes were the same IIRC so should be no problems there.
The back could be a bigger problem, but as long as the overall length isn't way out it should be solvable.
Probably the biggest issue will be touching the frame and fouling the bars.

The bottom of the air box was the same, the top is different - same capacity but the high points are in different places.Falcopops wrote: Air boxes were the same IIRC so should be no problems there.
