Aha! so mine are fitted incorrectly then :D

One more, D-Rider: Toshiba brake pads - that's the oem ones right? Did you find a place that sells them cheaper then £40 per calliper set?

Yeah - the OEM ones in my front callipers were Toshiba (that was a surprise as I hadn't even realised Toshiba made such things)
I bought my second set from another forum member as he didn't need them - so I've never investigated what you might pay on the high street or the interwebbery thing.

Re: brake hoses... the front and rear brake set comes to approx. £64 for Cobra and £54 for Goodridge...

...I may be wrong, but Goodridge seem to me at least (although I'm certainly no expert) to be more established and a "bigger name".

What do u peeps think?

Yes and no.

Apparently Cobra are the ones making the lines for HEL. I've bought a clutch line from them, no problems.

I THINK they put SS fittings as standard, (same as HEL), whereas Goodridge ask for more £.

Ah yes true, the price for Goodridge was for Zinc...

These ones? http://www.pfmbrakes.com/shop.php?man=1&mod=5

Price is ok and they look :smt007
Yep, them be the ones... I know the wave discs look cooler, but the sport discs are the better of the two. If you read what PFM say elsewhere on the site they quite freely admit this.

And as far as I can tell PFMs don't suffer from 'dirty button' syndrome, as they don't use buttons! They use a stainless steel band and cleverly designed rotors/carriers to completely do away with that problem.

They really are the mutt's nuts when it comes to aftermarket discs.

Replacement clutch slave cylinder on the back burner for now... I missed out on one on eBay and now my clutch is leaking so much I've ordered some seals from Fluidpower. I've also realised that I've never found the clutch that heavy anyway so maybe its more of a luxury rather than a necessity!

I might as well order my braided hose from Cobra as well... no point replacing seal and having to re-bleed and repeat process over winter with the braided hose!

What colour braided hoses should I go for??! Just about to order the complete set and never thought much about the colour before!

I'll probably go with simple black... but part of me says go for gold PVC... nice match with the calipers... whatcha think? Has anyone got gold ones and have pics?!

gold may be right if you are planning to move to essex, wear white stilettos and start calling yourself sharon....

personally I like the silver approach

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
