Look Andy you just have to accept that as one of the figures of Authority (Aprilia Mod), they are always the ones that get picked on (or burned). Can we just get on with it now please.
Where did Hishy put the marshmallows?

I now own a BMW R1200GS and can happily say that the build quality is crap!
Both my Falco & Tuono were better bikes in terms of the build quality, paint finish and coatings.
The truth is that there is no bike out there that will resist a full winter if not looked after on a regular basis. My Bimmer is a disgrace and along with many other BMW GS owners I am seriously put off buying another. God help anyone running a S1000R through a winter becasue it will disolve!
My Mates Ducati HyperMotard looks like its about 10yrs old after just 2 winters, almost everything has corroded, and he has had loads of fasteners etc.. re-coated
I seriously reckon Aprilias are one the best built bikes going (apart from the bloody clocks letting in water, which isn't even a Falco problem)

I've spent 50% of my life riding motorcycles, the rest I've wasted!

We did try to persuade you Rich.
I get that opinion from other people as well, their cars and bikes are nothing like as reliable as they would like us to think they are, they are just a bit better at fixing things and keeping major problems quiet.
Struggling on the latter now, just think about the latest BMW bike recalls.
You could always get another Falco and fit some Vario bars!

Tbh you can't go wrong with a rotax engined bike (can't comment about the capo) but I've owned two of them and rode a Mille , all 3 of them have sweet engines so it boils down to looks, comfort and need, all 3 are very capable bikes. Pesonally I didn't get the Mille as I just found it a bit uncomfortable, the falco was perfect if not for a bit of a stretch to the bars and tbh I should probably never sold it if I'm honest.
I've had the futura for just over a week and it's bar far the most comfortable
bike I've ridden/sat on it handles nicely and is surprisingly light for it's size, I've not come close to it's limits handling wise partly down to lost mojo after an off last year, partly due to being unfamiliar with it and also partly I don't like metzelers lol.
So whichever one you choose you'll be getting a great bike, though if you got a futura you'll also belong in the superior section of the forums, I'm sure. The falconeers will dispute that but then they all have fut fut envy :p
