Twist the throttle, lots of noise, plenty of revs, buckets of power but f**k all increase in speed - you'll know, trust me.

....and my bird was one of those suffering with the full synth issue. 20 miles after filling, slipped like a bastid. Limped home, dropped the puss from the Devils bottom, filled with semi, 20 miles later no slip. That was 35K miles ago

I use the original size filter- CHAMPION Oil Filter X312- around a fiver, I change it and the oil every 3000 miles, I know that's very early but at a cost of £30ish a time I keeps me happy :smt003

I now use Rock Oil Guardian Sigma 15w50 Motorcycle Oil ever since I got the clutch slip issue on my 2001 bird, £25 for 4l not bad really.

Well all done, little embarrassing as soon as I drained the oil the window magically changed from blue to clear D’OH. (blue oil who would have thought?) :smt017 :smt040

Well if anything I learnt about the need for semi synth and am now aware of the different filters. Also did the anti freeze & spark plugs and this morning came to work with a beaming smile, also helped that the Kiwis managed a draw with the Italians. :smt040
