Hard to say as i don't have the bike with me, the fronts Pirelli Corsa (the Corsa bit is in yellow), the rears a Pirelli not sure what sort, another Corsa i think. Both only done about 900 miles
Have asked a couple of local companies but they won't touch it...so now i have the minefield that is looking for a replacement, either like for like rear or a set and get them both done, and keep the front as spare or sell??

If they've only done 900 miles, then only buy a rear. Fronts tend to outlast rears anyway (generally speaking). No point in spending money you don't need to.
What companies have given you the bum's rush? Are they dedicated bike tyre places, or general purpose tyre sellers? And where abouts on the tread is it (crown, sides etc.)?

Yes, I don't think this is a tyre salesman thing.
Went to have one of mine repaired once and the guy took a quick look and said "is that a Corsa?" - I told him it was a Rosso ,,,,, to which he said "that's good - I can repair that - I couldn't repair a corsa"
Apparently their construction is not suitable - as is the case for a growing number of the newer lightweight tyres. The Rossos are a pretty light construction but apparently they are OK.
So .... unless you want to risk chucking away fairly new tyres, then before you buy, ASK whether the ones you are considering are repairable - and if you are like me, only take ones that can be repaired.
Alternatively take your tyre (repairable or otherwise) and get some of Nooj's gloop put in it - that will sort out your puncture without any negotiation with a tyre fitter.

I use a place in the centre of Leicester. They have plugged a couple of tyres for me over the years. I'd only bother on a newish tyre though and they asses the damage first before giving the ok. They'll recommend and fit new at a fair price if needed. I've used them for many years and trust them.

I'd only use tyre goop to get me home or to a repair place, if it went flat out on a ride. As you are home now I'd say its best to take the wheel out and drop that by the repair place. If you don't have other transport that might be more difucult......If realy stuck let me know.
Taking the wheel out isn't rocket science and if your neighbour can help then sounds like you are sorted.
