interesting to hear a similar experience - I really didn't like my Falco when it arrived, far too hard-core........ but now, after softening the ohlins it's feeling much better and I've decided to keep it. On the cards, further suspension softening, fix the fuel leak, work out why the headlamps go out on full-lock, new rear brake pads so that I actually have a rear brake and most importantly, some high bars.

Never thought I'd prefer a higher position, but the riding here in BG is largely on badly surfaced, not very grippy roads with poor drivers and horse and carts everywhere......... VERY little traffic and no police interest are the upsides! Anyway, it means a more point and squirt style of riding and a self-imposed maximum of a ton (usually) ......hence I think higher bars will suit better - sorry purists ;)

Now that I can help you with. Halfway down the bundle of cables that run from the left hand switchgear and hidden by the outer plastic cover you'll find 3 wires that are connected into one by the crappiest little connector ever. These are the headlights, pass light and horn.

My Falco was having the same issues as yours and I'll bet its this connector which has broken on your bike as well. Split the outer cover to get access to wires within and you should easily find the dodgy connector.

I repaired it and then ordered some heatshrink to suit the bundle size, applied it and re-attached the cable.........perfect now.

Its the only bit of electrickity I've managed to fix on my own! :smt003
