Clutch jet

Three things can help with clutch drag.
Make sure its FULLY bled, change the oil jet and finally, run 10w-40 oil.
W/r to bleeding, I know some have struggled but I can honestly say that I've NEVER had a problem with the RTFM method - even works for me with the back brake.
I've only ever had problems when she's stone cold but got used to slipping her in neutral when she's still rolling. However, I did change to 10w-40 oil because I have 5 bikes in the garage and buy my oil in bulk and so I didn't have to get another oil just for the Falco, I dropped 10w-40 in (as per Aprilia UK recommendation). That got good results, slips into neutral nicely now, hot or cold

simple answer - makes it easier to put the bike into neutral

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
Its a jet that controls the oil feed to the clutch - reducing the flow helps with the difficult neutral selection.
It shouldn't be a concern as Aprilia has progressively reduced the clutch jet size - earliest Falcos and Milles etc got a 75, later ones a 60 and the new shape RSVRs got the 40 that a lot of us have moved to.

Finding Neutral...
Hi all,
OK, my experience of setting the clutch lever to engage neutral can be quite tricky kinda
My amigo who use to run a bike dyno shop had a peak at the push pin in the lever housing and it needed re-setting. Moving the lever or bleeding isn't enough alas....
Once the push-pin was set correctly, my ease of finding neutral was fan-dabby-dozzy
I can find neutral stood still, I don't need to engage neutral whilst approaching a junction, roundabout etc...

There is an allen headed bolt below the cover for the oil filter, clutch jet is behind this.
I had a large selection of screwdrivers for this job, but they all looked a bit short/long to wide etc.etc.
So, took the new jet down to Homebase & bought a FatMax electrical screwdriver (think it was 5.5mm size) which fitted perfectly.
Make sure the screwdriver fits perfect, then for me it was easy to remove the old one.
Hope this may help, is worth paying the £6 for the tool if it helps remove the old jet me thinks.
