Yeh, but it was fun :smt003

Best days were when a copper on an Ariel Leader or even better a Velocette LE would start to chase you on a "Cock of the Road" Brit 650 Twin. :smt096
You had the thought "you must be Effing joking mate", then opened up and went!
They usually gave up after a couple of hundred yards and any radios they had then were useless so you were off and gone!

If he stopped you later in the week and said I chased you last Monday doing 70 up here you would reply no it couldn't have been me mate, I was at me old grans doing her gardening.
There is another Triumph round here just like mine though, he wears a black leather jacket as well, you must be mistaking me for him! :smt003 :smt003 BYEEEEEEEEEEEE

Certainly no ANPR or Video eveidence in those days. :smt003

I remember it well. I gave up biking.
It was the same time MAG was formed by riders protesting against the unjust introduction of compulsory helmet legislation.
Yes, FOUR days before my 16th birthday :smt019
I failed my telepathy exam, and I left my crystal ball in my other trousers . . .

I was 10 in 1973.

That seems a loooooooooooooong time ago now.
I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.
