I've never done the mod, but have thought about it and would not rule it out.
when my original battery was still good, one of the best things for me was the way the Falco was always a brilliant starter, it just always seems to instantly fire up without any turning over. The original battery got weaker and I started to use an Optimate equivelent. Don't really need it since I changed the battery, so I use it on the Kwack which needs it more, as it has Datatool alarm which drains the battery more. If during winter for example, the Falco has been stood for a few weeks, I plug the lead in the night before I plan to take it out, just to give it a boost, and it does as always, starts instantly. Never had any bike start instantly like this before, yet another endearing quality.
