Thanks for the welcome guys, knew I had made the right decision and am delighted I didn't go down the BMW route. Will post pics when I pick it up. Plan to do a bit of touring this summer. What are the best options for luggage two up. Ive promised her indoors that it will be comfier than my 749. :smt003

aprillia do an excellant tank bag and their own panniers as well, but the panniers are a bit steep. rack options i had a givi and is good but not made any more and is rare.i now have a ventura with the bag which is big and slides over the rack and very happy with it. with the bag and rack systm i can get plenty in to tour two up.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

the humback system is the new oxford luggage system for women - it keeps going "hmmmmmm"

the more common oxford luggage system is of course the HUMPBACK system - not saying anything about women avoid hump at any cost....

which i find especially funny as jadaris is a norfolkian so havinvg a hairlip and a hump back is fairly common.....

Well guys and gals, picked it up and I've got to say I am absolutely.............................. delighted! Runs like a dream and makes a great sound even though its the standard pipes. Pulls like a train and handles well! Cant believe how upright the seating position is and being able to see things in the mirror is such a bonus. Plus points is it had more history than I first thought, old M.O.T.s, receipts etc, Penske shock, and enough space under the rear seat to carry a lot of kit. Oh and its a 2001 not a 2000. Bad points all bolts have a coating of the ferrous stuff but a quick trip to Halfords on the way home for some Kurust sorted that out, Rear wheel has seen better days with the paint peeling down to the metal, but they look and feel straight and true. Strange feeling from front end under heavy breaking vibration as if the wheel bearings or front shocks are struggling. Will get pics up once I've given it a clean and polish. Now does anyone selling a Belly pan, luggage, shiny bits, etc etc :smt004

Phil. Youre just about to meet the true force of ARS....

They can smell newbie money burning a hole in a pocket a mile away...

and to make it worse you asked about 'shiny bits'

RIP Phil's credit card
