think i read this b4 xmas somewhere??
Don't think so - was drinking it only a couple of weeks ago in Bath - it's the mainstay of Wadworth - so unless the brewery is closing I really doubt it.
At least I HOPE NOT !!

it is the directors that is going - wells and young took over scottish courage's brewing/beers from january this year, and it would appear that the name "courage directors" is not listed on their products list.
sorry for scaring you over wadsworth - the above moves meant the wandsworth brewery could be closed and redeveloped!

well, is now brewed in Bury St edmunds - and the water there is quite different to where it was originally brewed..... and that is the secret to good beer / regional variation

Adnams "the Bitter" is the bottled version of their regular bitter at the pump. I believe it used to be called SSB.
All their beers are significantly stronger in the bottle.

Well that was a bit tongue in cheek really BUT there are some superb lagers around. In bottles and mainly from the Continent. Personal likes are Wheat Beer and several of the Belgian Beers.
No substitutes for good English Ales though.
Had a special treat the other day. Fullers Golden Pride. ABV 8.5. Superb. Only needed one though

I'm partial to Boddington's ale and Newcastle Brown ale.
But I'm just a Yank, so what do I know?
