If you have a go at setting the static sag that will immediately tell you whether the springs (F&R) are too strong or not. If you cannot get the correct amount of sag on minimum pre-load, softer springs will be the order of the day. However most Italian bikes are set up for a 12-13st rider so there is a good range of adjustment available
Personally if the bike is std set up I don't think you'll need a damper at all. If you are concerned you could lift the forks a ring through the yokes, this will slow down the tip in and increase the trail making the bike more stable, but slower steering of course. If the Mille shock has ride height adjustment making the shock shorter will do the same thing of course.

Call it concern or whatever - but going from sv 650 to falco is a big jump I have also been riding with hanna since sh passed her test - so, I know her weaknesses as a rider (and yes I have my own as well!) with those in mind we agreed when she bought the bike that it would be worked up to...
Also - it's in my lock up ATM ;)
Finally I have not finished swooping stuff over yet.....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Malteasers are one thing but you want to avoid any tension before those other ones

The springs should be fine. My sag is set up great and im only 9 and a half stone. (standard forks and early rsv ohlins shock) never found a need for a steering damper. But then i ride like a granny anyway
