Hmm..

Cut and Blow dry Sir?
I had always considered any car based on the chassis of a Corsa to be a hairdresser's car. However Ive just been offered one at a steal of a price (100 quid) and in good nick really so I think it's a case of just tinting the windows out and ignoring the jibes..
My previous car was a 210BHP Volvo Saloon.. so Im used to being on the receiving end of the flak.. Bikers' love of Volvos n all that...

What volvo did you have? I used to have a 740 Turbo a few yrs ago. Had the boost turned up, volvo racing chip, ignition re-mapped. Rolling roaded at 250bhp. Rear wheel drive and no traction control, what a hoot! I loved it but 20mpg the sensible option had to be done when I got my own house.
You'll not go far wrong with the vauxhall, tend to be reliable cars. I've got a vectra sri at mo (second vauxhall) and its been spot on. Good luck!

We had an Astra and very reliable it was too, until this happened to it.bigun wrote:What volvo did you have? I used to have a 740 Turbo a few yrs ago. We've got a new one opening up round the corner from us, next Wednesday, I don't like the prices he's put up, especially as;
1. He's an ex builder.
2. He's got about 50k's worth of brand new machinery, that looks very pretty but not functional.
3. the blokes who are outfitting it said he spent 23K on the extraction equipment.
4. The freehold went for £423,000.
5. He's got 2 of our ex staff going to work there (they are bloody useless)
He's got prices up for a baguette we sell for £3.75 at £4.45 and who in their right mind would pay £2 for a cheese and tomato sandwich.
