I complained to the council yesterday about the junction near my house as it was starting to look like a cart track and the holes were filled in today! Amazing response considering I was expecting no response at all. Unfortunately all that got done was a couple of blokes shoveled some tar into the holes, which was immediately flung back out by passing cars. Next lot of heavy rain and it'll all come out again leaving gravel everywhere.

Don't forget that our Darling friend at No. 11 has allocated a massive £100 milliom to repair roads in the UK. :smt038

I reckon to do a decent job of the local roads here in South Yorkshire it would need a lot more than that, after so many years of total neglect, so you can expect very little adaquate work.
In fact that money won't even buy you enough cold fill ashphalt to fill all the bloody holes once, so we are going to see a lot of bikers killed over the next 5 or 10 years :smt009

There is one added bonus that you must remember.
All the original contents of the potholes and other totally broken up road surface, plus the contents of the current potholes, when the filling comes back out again, will fill and totally block what is left of the Victorian sewers, so expect lots of flooding in years to come, (caused by global warning, so we can't do anything about it !!!!!).
