Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

well - all sorted or so I thought

but - poxy alarm does not like these bulbs.... as in did all sorts of strange things

so

need to try and find some 10w bulbs - which are not available, or think again...

mutters.... am certain i am missing something obvious but will crack it later this week


Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Aladinsane - how many pins did the flasher unit have on it?

I just went and did the same thing (ie, bought new indicators with 23W bulbs in them) and can't tell if the flasher unit has 2 or 3 pins on it.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

standard type from a local car shop here so.... - think it was a whole £4.95 .

Sweet! Thanks for that. (Yes, I should go out and look at the bike, but it's at home and I usually think of these things when I'm sitting at work...)

The local Super Cheap Auto store has the flasher units for about $10, so I'll grab one when I get a chance.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
