Why'd they make the US version different?

Are European cambers of the road different to the US?

Just interested as for something as insignificant as that, there must be a reason or theyd just not bother? Or have the US simply sued the factory that many times that they changed it to avoid lawsuits?

Dunno, no-one has ever been able to find a definitive answer. Not sure that the US ever had the same sidestand as the UK, though, they've always had an upgraded one.

Could be they new there was a problem, and sorted it before they got sued by all and sundry in the states, but left the EU stuff as they thought they wouldn't cause a problem over here.

Maybe someone will get to ask Aprilia themselves one day...

Not only do they have a better stand but the other day I was looking at the Ultimate Parts website and found that it's actually cheaper than our one!!!!

Hi all,

Yes, the US states do have a more extreme camber on their roads, due to the extreme weather and obviously bigger storm drains. You can crawl into them if you wanted too, but, the local 25ft croc's might like you for main course :smt002

Cheaper, like most places are cheaper than us, bummer comes to mind in general :smt010

It is a solid piece of kit thou :smt003
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

Yeah .... but that's the price to buy it here - not over there!
