Following on from Scorpio24V's advice, I've also heard very good things about Wurth Rost-Off Ice as a penetrating fluid. It has a dual action, as when you squirt the stuff onto the joint in question it locally freezes the metal, causing it to shrink microscopically and allow the penetrating fluid into the micro-cracks to do its business.
If one were to give it a squirt a couple of times a day for a week or so, and then use a slightly undersized socket on the bleed nipple, it might just work.
I'm a big fan of Wurth products - they seem to be best in class in just about every product line they compete in...

.... and the update is that I've now won a nice set of Brembo 4-pad callipers (the ones that Mr Hacksaw raves about) including an "almost new" set of pads .... so when I get them, they can go on and I can take my time over sorting out my originals.D-Rider wrote:Also being consideredwavey wrote:Of course, you could always ditch the calipers and replace with some blingy ones... and then can restore the originals at my leisure to either keep as spares or sell to help finance the deal.
Already have my eye on some ......

Oh yes, Mango, I have some Halfrauds penetrating and freeze shock stuff (as well as some other penetrating oil). Maybe not as good as Plus Gas or Wurth but I can but try it.

Mrs D will be none the wiser ..... thanks to the clever device of opting out of the company car scheme and having a car allowance paid into a separate account to keep the car maintained and, as I told her I would, I also use it to keep the bike going - so she wins ..... but not as much as me
.....
Mind you, were she to find out what gets spent on the bike, it may be my nipple that would be seized
