Old enough to have drooled over, and dreamed of owning, a Vincent Black Shadow. But young enough to now own a Falco, which I'm sure is way more fun but doesn't quite have that awsome presence. My first bike was a BSA C15* followed by an Ariel Leader.

I'm not the oldest owner of my bike. The first owner is in his 60s and I'm the second owner, and I'm still 50 something.

* The C15 didn't have a suppressor cap and the spark plug was on the side of the engine. When mates had a shotty (Scottish for go) on it, come the first corner, their right knee would touch the top of the spark plug. Big wobble followed!!! Never got around to fixing it.

No! We cant have a 29 year-old legend! I think you need to hand that title over to one of your seniors.. like me :smt003

S'pose I'd better declare like the rest of you.

You'll probably realise that the age categories ran from (for example) 21 to 30 rather than 20 to 29 for a very good reason ..... that is because the final digit of my age happens to be a zero. Hence I can remain in a slightly more youthful group just by fixing the age boundaries of the poll.
:smt004

Fortunately, as moderator, I can delete any embarrasng repeats of this poll in future years.

Oh yes, the grouping that I fall into is the one into which the majority of us fall.

.... yet I know I'm still only 18 .... but confused that I have a son who's nearly 20, another who's almost 18 and a third just about to turn 16.

Still it ain't that bad Andy, you could be as old as me!
As you know, I had my first serious off in 42 years before Christmas and my first real bike was a Velocette Viper, but did start at 16 on a poxy scooter with "plastic" tyres that threw me off every time it rained.
Best thing is you never feel (or look) that old when you are out on a bike.
Harleys and Cruisers excepted.
