thank you for all your kind messages. The police asked me to move my bike so they could shut the road, but i asked them to do it for me, as i didnt want to go , back down to where my friend lay, the police officer who was also a biker, moved it but he didnt put it on the side stand properly. and dropped it, but they have admitted responsability and will pay for the damage. It did me a favour though, i don't think i could have made the long journey back to kent , so I came back with the bike on an RAC truck.

I've only just caught up with this thread - I must have missed it when I came back from holiday. Just found it by doing a search for a bit of background when mrapriliafalco posted about his bike being written off by the insurers.

I'm stunned by the losses to you mrapriliafalco and to you Rich.
Sorry I'm late to pick up on this but although late my thoughts are with you and with other friends and family who are suffering these losses.
