Looks like there is quite an overlap with Falco and Bandit owners.

As well as the Falco I have a 97 Bandit 1200 which I couldn't bear to part with. Its my opinion that the bikes are different enough in character to keep both.

Having said that I am in the planning stages of making the falco more bandit-like by raising the bars...

I wonder what attracted so many of us to the bandit and then the falco anyway. For me it was the promise of mid-range grunt combined with a favourable £/bhp ratio and reliability.

Thanks again for all the replies lads!

I have just washed my Bandit and she is sparkling! Important to do but always makes you then not want to sell, especially since this is the bike I have owned the longest and have added lots of parts to. Wish I had the space and money to keep her!

Anybev - sounds like you have the best of both worlds then. Also, I recognise your name, are you one of the moderators over on the SOCWEB forum? I never went as far as joining the members club but used the forums for help when needed. Another excellent owners forum! I might post my Bandit in the for sale section on there.

I agree with the overlap of Bandit/Falco owners, a couple of people I know have gone from one to the other. Both bikes represent excellent 'bang for your buck' performance and are still built for what I consider normal size riders. As much as I appreciate all the engineering and technical capability of the latest sports bikes they are all so small! I was lucky enough to sit on the new BMW S1000R and that just vanished right up my arse! As for the R6 that was hilarious - felt like a monkey bike!

But being 6'2 and 0.12 tonnes (hence why I always go with aftermarket suspension) I make most Harleys look small! Now, where did I put the Ryvita...... :smt003
