errm ... isn't that a pretty good description of any cheese making process? :smt001
Isn't it in fact what cheese is? :smt002

Says he sat with a plateful of crackers and Cambozola blue brie. :smt003

Just an extension of the traditional in-breeding that's gone on for centuries round here. :smt002

Lay offs at the moment. (not redundancy)

100 workers for now.

400 - 500 should things not pick up.

:smt012 I hope the Unions can lobby and get the compensation they justly deserve.

T&GW Union.

Lobbying the Government, not Bernie.

It was mentioned briefly on Anglia News or somesuch.

If the Union gets it for the workers who are Union members, there should be no reason other legally employed workers cannot claim it?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6376459.stm

industry in general, and the workers at bernies that are affected are at great witchingham, not holton - and they, in the main are UK born workers - or were when I was at holton at any rate. Many of holton's work force are both foreign staff - portugese in the main, or via an agency - waveney work force any one?

130 quid is a pittance in compensation terms, as opposed to redundancy pay.....

When I head to work on an early I drive past a lot of the pick up points for the workers - used to be a lot of people waiting there - was not many this week...
