christ!
i knew there was a difference but that is huge!
(My wife and mistresses normally say that but i thought i would tonight!)
that difference would have a huge effect on induction
will post this over on af1 as i think many others would be amazed at the difference

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
thanks d-rider.
Ive definiately got the one on the right.
I ran the bike with all these parts removed, so you could see right through the frame. The induction roar was pretty impressive....in fact...it was border line ridiculous
Ive decided to put the top half of the fairing back on, but, for some reason, cant find the rubber gasket for the left side...i have no idea what ive done with it !!! and every breaker ive asked has sold the part i need ....damn it !!
Ive now came to my senses (for now) and installed all the original intake, and installed standard RSVR cans..i also installed an MPL slave..which i can thoroughly recommend. The bike is now far more relaxing on longer journeys.

I think it might have an effect on induction but I'm not sure. Aprilia never changed their power output figures.Aladinsaneuk wrote:christ!

Also, with the new design, what is the purpose of the front section of the snorkel and the "tube" thing that sits up inside it?
TBH I've no idea ... some resonance thing going on or something?
Pete, they already know - that's where it came from!Aladinsaneuk wrote:

There was a long thread about this .... together with these pictures.

Doh! yes, you're quite right .... and that piece is probably the same for all Falcos.paddyz1 wrote:You all must have sussed out by now that the part which stompson wants is on the ouside of the frame. All the pics shown are from the inside.
(just stating the obvious)
