(small world isn't it!)
Say hello to her for me please. She knows all about our troubles when it comes to lowering bikes.
What is she riding these days and is she still working at Triumph?
Will pass the message on - yes she's still at Triumph and this is her current bike (hope the link works):

Good write up and pics Andy and everyone else. Thanks to everyone for a great day out and for confirming what a great bunch of people you all are. It was good to catch up with some old faces and some new ones. Looking forward to the next one (so long as the sun shines again).
Cheers
Dave

I would just like to say thanks to Ken and also everybody that turned up yesterday for making it a very enjoyable day. A special thank you to the people who came from Cheshire, Bury, West Yorkshire, Coventry, Nuneaton (?) and Humberside etc., as well as others like myself who live within 30 miles or so. Most of all, I suppose a big thank you to the weather, it is so much better when it’s not pissing it down!
No photos yet as I didn’t get chance to sort them last night, should hopefully get sorted tonight.
The weirdest thing for me was the run to Willingham, as I have never been so far on a bike before constantly looking backwards!
More often than not I am out on my own, but do still go out with 2 or 3 mates on occasions, but they always know the area and where they are going. It's a bit different leading a bunch of eight or so people who have little idea of where they are or where they are going. Didn’t want to drive like a tosser and daudle along making sure I didn’t lose anybody, and didn’t want to bugger off and possibly leave somebody lost. I ended up riding constantly looking into the mirrors, trying to count how many bikes managed to get through lights or out of road junctions. Then again most of the times when I looked in the right hand mirror I could only see KEN.
Once I got to the last bit from Caistor to Willingham I just thought let’s have a play as there was nowhere to get lost really, I love that road!
Hope the rest of you enjoyed it.
Main thing, there is much less plod activity on those back roads.
Hope everybody enjoyed the day as much as I did and thanks again folks.

Howard, I hadn't realised it was you leading us a merry dance

I'd plugged Willingham into the GPS and kept wondering if the guy up front knew his way - especially when we ended up 4 miles from Cleethorpes

I soon realised we were going the bike friendly way and really enjoyed the run - many thanks for taking the interesting route
All the best
Dave

Didn't mean you losing me Howard.
Seriously, thanks for taking the bike route, and good speeds when we got out of the villages.
If folks want to do something again how about a meet at another bike meeting place somewhere else later in the year.
I was thinking maybe the Ponderosa at the Horseshoe pass in Wales, or maybe Stratford-on Avon or Helmsley.
We could meet en route and see how many Falco's or other bikes would come along.
If anyone has other meeting places to mind please post them up.

Sounds good .... though Stratford's not what it was since they banned bikes from the Waterside and have the threat of heavy fines.
There is a new bike park area but by all accounts its not the same and a lot of the popularity has gone.
.... though there is a campaign to fight it ......

Oli, it's the B1225, glad you liked it!
I've been playing down there for more than 7 years, hardly ever used to see another bike in the early years, even though there were hundreds down at Willingham. It's getting a bit better known now so you can meet some really quick stuff coming the other way!
It runs from the A46 just outside Caistor to the A631 near Ludford Parva, turning right at the crossroads with the A631 to go down to Willingham Woods.
Never can make my mind up which way is best, at the moment I have a slight preference for the run the other way towards Caistor.
Before you really have a play, try it a few times first as there are two or three junctions you arrive at pretty blind, learn where they are so you know to back off at these points and then just enjoy, (I have seen a few close shaves).
Remember one classic day when we saw a ZX7R rider who had gone straight off around the middle section and ended up at the other side of a ploughed field. Bike and rider seemed intact, he was just riding back slowly bouncing over the furrows back to the road. Not hurt and very funny, but could have been a lot worse as you can hold *** speeds along most of the run!
I have taken quite a few mates down that road, mainly the towards Caistor and they've all loved it.

oh
can some one please post some of these images on the aprilia uk site
the fut fut boys just had a meet and had 8 in total - be nice to show them a line up of 11 falcos....
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
