The leovince cans are on the bike and set up Rene.

yes rene the pc3 irons out the fueling and corrects what would be a weak mixture with flat spots etc after fitting aftermarket cans/airbox,
Yes the pc3 does need to be set up on a dyno, once set up it needs no adjustment...if you add other items that would alter the airflow/mixture (standard cans etc) the pc3 would need tweaking ...30 quid a time at my local dyno, or you can tweak it yourself on your own laptop / change maps etc.

I see, so in adding these Cans, the PC3 & Rene airkit, what you're saying is that you've taken a bike that has a walloping amount of oomph, sounds ace, and simply added an even more generous topping of oomph whilst at the same time making the thing sound like heaven on wheels :smt003

I conclude you probably know what you're doing, but must have had a bash on the head by deciding to sell sorted ol' Red :smt002

:smt005 ..yeah I must have had a bang on the old bonce...I will miss it for sure, but old age and wear n tear is having an effect on my shoulders ie: badly worn and painful!! so I can't ride it for more than an hour before I'm in agony and wanting to get off...that's why I bought my Tuono... more or less the same bike but a more upright position... sorted! :smt003

I decided that if the Tuono ticked all the Falco boxes then I'd sell..that was early last year! haha ...trouble is, the Falco looks too nice when I open the garage

By rights I should worry about that post, what with the Falco being tough on old bones, but I don't reckon I've grown up past 25 yet, let alone the 49 I really am, so f**k it. Hell, I even found a Guzzi Le Mans II comfy, but admitedly I was mid 20's then :smt003

Well, I passed 49 a little while ago and I find my Falco very comfy.

It's not an age thing - just depends how knackered up you are.

agreed - I am a knackered 43 and the falco is comfortable - BUT - I have moved the bars and will have a sargeant saddle fitted by march....

(The slippers are comfortable and the pipe works well before we get any comments!)


Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

It's strange really, I got rid of my 1992 CB750 F2N retro about 7 years ago, it had high bars, (sit up and beg, I can remember them!), as it always gave me a lot of pain in my shoulders. Serious pain on cold winter days, Arthritis in most of my joints didn't help much.
The CBR Thou and later the Falco were a revelation to me as I, surprisingly, found them much more comfortable.
Can be a bit hard on the wrists in town, but don't do towns much.

There's a bloke who works with me who's been talking about getting another bike for last few years, his last bike was a VFR750.
He has finally decided to buy something in about a month or so, as soon as the weather is decent.
He want's a Sports Tourer at around £2k and his first choice is a VFR800, but I am working on him!
Let you know if it comes to anything.

Im 22 and find it very uncomfortable long distances, so its not an age thing, lol. Half reason me being a shortie, im practically sitting on the tank, and things get.... compressed. Still most comfy bike ive had is a gsx1400, only sold it due to the weight of the thing

move your bars over the triple clamp - myself and others have done it and it does help

though not as pint sized as a much loved squaddie that lurks around here, I am only 5 foot 9 or so.... made a world of difference for me

(Do it right and you do not need to change anything cable wise....)

Tell ya what Howard - he can have my VFR750 & I can then have Okamoto's Falco - job done :-)
I need to do a bit of work on the VFR first, as I like to sell a fully sorted bike, but I figure we've got a bit of time until the weather picks up eh?

Hi Rene, which model of VFR750 do you have? Besides being a Falco owner I also have a VFR750 (FJ model) which I can't ever really imagine getting rid of. I definitely prefer the 750s to the 800s, and (as you can probably guess) prefer the old conventional swingarm models to the later single-sided jobbies...
