What was my Falco ( F9's before that) was last winter off the road for 5 months, I started it up and ran it for about 10 minutes each month, had no trouble with it come the spring.

Spoken as one who clearly knows... I was fortunate with mine in that the first owner was a Waxoyl obsessive. He drenched it with Waxoyl absolutely everywhere. Consequently it's in very good condition. I've tried to avoid using it on salty roads, and now it's in a place where they never, ever salt the roads (South of France), so it should last a bit longer. The Targa top and convertible back are perfect for those conditions.

I think modern Italian cars are as good as any others corrosion-wise, but bad reputations last a long time...
