It was the Demo bike at AMC when they were the local Cagiva dealership

Sorry, Nooj, but I won't be able to make it to your Chilli & Fireworks extravaganza. Just have _far_ too many things on that day.

Have a great time, and take lots of photos! :smt003 :smt023

Bit of a trip for you from the land down under??

Small world, I've spent a bit of time in your saddle :smt003 I took it out for a long test ride once, like about three hours. There's a picture of me sat on it at a friend's house somewhere, no idea where now though.

Jeff (the tall shop owner) is a friend of freinds of mine and did some electrics for my Andover house, wiring in the shed to the mains. Nice guy, shame his AMC business partner screwed him over :smt009

Just a bit. Spending 24 hours in a pressurised metal tube hurtling through the air at a great rate of knots is not my idea of a good time. :smt009

I spent many happy hours in Jeff's shop, and in the workshop learning the basics of how to look after my bikes (just wish I remembered it all) Jeff, Andy and Tony (ART) were my saviours, and Martin my mentor

Martin, rings a bell, was he their chief spanner twirler? If so I believe he did quite a bit to your bike, adding on various upgraded bits. Wasn't it his bike at one point?

He was that :smt003 Martin de Majician :smt002

not the case
Martin had the new 'normale' (to which he added WP suspension and other blings) but with the V front end from the demo.
I bought the V Raptor with a normale (standard round light) front, 1200 miles on the clock - great for me as about the same number of £'s came off the price. Mart wanted a new V and I wanted a used N so we both gained, and Jeff was happy with two sales :smt003
Martin had a bad smidsy riding his next bike - Xtra Raptor - and has now retired to portugal with a couple of Enfields for him and the missis
which reminds me I haven't emailed him for ages

No - I'm planning to be there .... but still not mentioned to the Mrs ..... however I've been working hard to engineer the circumstances to make odds-on.
Should finalise my plot tonight - anyway, assume I'm coming.

...... though at the moment I'm going to have to ring every door bell in Newbury as I don't know where you live.

Hope we get a few more though .... thought we had a reasonable number in the Berks / Hants / Wilts area ... and certainly if we include Dorset and the rest of the M4 corridor .....

I'm afraid that according to the most recent weather forecast it will be my trusty Almera not the Falco. I am not prepared to die, not just yet! :smt006
