I was bidding on the front fairing bracket. but not going any higher.
or I might do a last second bid :smt002
If you really need it, not too many crop up and a new one will cost you over £300 delivered from Aprilia Yorkshire.
I know money is tight after your recent damage, but how many chances will you get to buy one.
Not sure how much it might fetch but I'd keep an eye on it and have a late snipe at a higher price. Repairing a damaged one would probably cost more than the current price.
Good luck with it!

The price I paid was far from desperate. I'd do anything to avoid painting! Or cleaning. :smt003

(I have to say that she looks better when cleaned, Scottoiled and waxed!)

Edit: just a note: I can't sometimes believe how cheap Aprilia spare parts are on eBay. Try that with other bikes!

From what I can see, getting the shock is the (comparatively) easy part. Finding the correct links/dogbone to go with them is the difficult bit. The number of possible permutations does my head in...

No such difficulties with the doll, of course :smt003

Might be able to help with the linkage ..... but not with the doll .....

I've a spare set of linkages but one of the triangles is twisted (bolt came out - suspension collapsed - fortunately travelling slowly at the time).

I've a mate that does lazer cutting and I've already spoken with him about making up some triangles in stainless to replace the aluminium ones on the set where one is twisted and to replace the mild steel ones on my bike plus another set for someone else who wanted them (if you still need them Viking .... sorry it's taken so long).

Yes, Aprilia made 2 different versions with the same basic geometry - ally ones are 6mm thick, steel ones 4mm thick
The dogbone is fine.

I should actually be seeing my lazer cutting friend tonight ..... so I may have a set up for sale before too long .....

Mr D

The triangles are not a problem, if I have a pattern I can knock up a few, the same with the dog bones, I've got the facilities just need the dimensions, so if you would like sell dem der bits you've got I'll be a very happy chap if they're the ones I need. :smt003

Hi D-Rider,

Sorry, but don't need the linkages now. FalcoPops did some Internet magic and sorted things out.

I meant to tell you ages back but it completely slipped my mind. :smt012
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
