it's nothing to do with puddles mate,my disks went at 3300 mls and it was the right hand disk,if your levers pumping then something is warped that can only happen when something is pushing the pads back, pushing the fluid back then the lever.redfalco wrote:I've got goodridge braided hoses, don't know how well they'd stand up to being clamped. Any who if one side is bad the other side wouldn't fair much better, they'll splash through the same puddles and collect the same road grime I would assume. Oh and I haven't got a brke hose clamp

If the pistons are free and the disc is not worn or have dirty buttons, check the pad pins are free from any ridges or dirt take the leading edge off the pads with a file also check the calipers are not out off line some times it can help to shim the pad bolts if this is the case.
Always expect the unexpected
Went back to the MOT garage, on the initial run the problem was still there. Then we took the calipers off in turn, right hand caliper off first and placed a spanner between the pads still pumping at the lever, replaced the caliper and did the same on the left hand side. Yes smooth braking problem solved.
Now all I have to do is get in touch with the suppliers and arrange for another new disc. Only hope I havrn't missed all the good weather.
