yes HowardQ, the CB1300 is just a bored out CBR1000, in fact the bottom end is the same and short shifting and riding the torque is the best way to enjoy. but then the CBR was a rocketship in its day.

Love all three of them but the Falco will always come first.
All have lots of torque from low down but the Hondas are just evenly spread, (just like the Bandit12, which I also like), but they don't give you the hit you get from the Falco. Hondas are a bit bland, but have had lots and can't totally get em out of my system.
Been biking 40 odd years and been born again many times. When I came back last time I got a CB 750 F2N Retro, which was what I thought would suit an old bugger like me, then got the CBR Thou. The CB1300 has always appealed to me as it had the looks of the naked CB750 with similar power to the CBR.
Then I went and bought the Falco! :smt023
Still have the old CBR, as I occasionally like to enjoy different bikes, if I do get rid of the CBR1000, I'd like a VFR8, CBR6, early Blade or Blackbird to replace it.
Just a personal thing, but I'd rather have more than one older bike than one brand new one. If I won the lottery I'd have a bloody garage full, but the Falco would still be in there.

I was at Willingham late yesterday afternoon, and I saw me !!
Was the only bloody bike there, so came straight home, but got pretty wet coming back, so perhaps the others got it right! :smt009

I still have a look now and then, seems a bit quiet here.....I am mostly found haunting the PB mag forum.

I mean I still have my "Old Red" ....just for the days that my shoulders are not hurting too much....plus if I sold it I'd get nowt for it really, it's still a nice bike in very good nick so I'll hang onto it .......possibly a future classic ?? :smt017...

I mean ...who couldn't help wanting to ride a bike like this when it emerges from the shed ?
