OK - hid fitted

not too much of a job in all honesty, but am pleased

I will be doing the wiring mod soon :)

Oh - I am asking 20 quid plus postage for the other complete set - ie enough to do one dip beam - bigun has first refusal, after that first come first served

(Postage is likely to be about £5 i think including the insurance etc??)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

No bother m8, I'll even get the beers in. We'll do Gregs bike first then any mistakes can be learned from before doing mine! :smt002

I've got a new mash hammer and bolster chisel which might come in handy too!

Very nice matey.

If my stuff ever arrives from blighty I've got a similar idea, but using a complete board. My protortype worked ok, but not sure about it all fitting inside the lens. Deffo a MOT failure, but easy enough to revert to std.

Not here. You get your bike inspected once to get an RWC (Road Worthy Certificate) and it's never inspected again. So long as you keep the registration paid, you're safe as houses.

Of course, if you're really, really unlucky plod will pull you over for an inspection. But most of them have NFI about bikes.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

I think I see what you're doing here Pete and it looks cool.

.....and you are waiting for the.......

BUT...... it concerns me that the indicator will not be visible enough - especially when you brake. I am no fan of orange beacons on the ends of stalks but at least following vehicles (who need all the help they can get!) should see it.

What do you say?

the LEDs are a lot brighter than standard bulbs so I am not too concerned.

BUT

if they are not bright enough, or are too close etc, I have a second set of blisters that will fit nicely below the passanger grab rail....

(For MOT purposes I have left a set of plug in points on the loom so I can just add a set of standard rear indicators in 5 minutes....)

May I just ask where did you get that HID set from? Are they still selling them? I've (potentially) got a mate I could split with...

https://www.ridersite.com/viewtopic.php?t=2472 has a link to where I got mine

I think Nooj is having my spare off me, but if folks can double up then they will get a very good deal - 20 quid each is awesome

Delivery time was about a week I seem to recall - if people are interested then I will post a series of pictures of the box contents etc
