I'm 60% there..........

but feel a 'debate' coming on over Q6 (which, by the way, I have never ridden) :smt003

Oooooh - I'd not noticed the date that Gio had stated - I'm working more on early 80s too.

Just for the record, I've not ridden one of these either.

Im pretty much at a halt. work at the moment requires that I do silly hours day n night.. will attempt to submit a sheet of answers, but looking unlikely.

Ive ridden..errm... :smt017 none of em although i did almost buy a number 7 in a fit of stupidity when i was looking for bikes when i got the TT600. Thankfully I didnt or I guarantee neither the bike nor me'd be here, or at least in one piece. They dont stop too well apparently? Howard? is that true, or did I miss a chance that I shouldve took?

Very few people have ridden it, its a pucker gp bike (now if that doesn't help)

Fortunately I had a go on all of 'em way back then. So the brakes on the 5 were better than most other drum braked bikes at that time, FFS it even had cooling ducts on the front drums, talk about race track bling.
As for 3 being well built, yeh about as well as any Brit 2 stroke at that time, then again the cops used the touring version, so they must have been relatively happy. If you want to try 60s brakes try the ones on here.
Look at the super trendy front suspension as well.
As for no. 7, only had a brief run on this one, but remembered it for years after, dogs bollocks at the time, best thing was it didn't have time to go wrong on a short run.
Sorry Andy, never had a number 8, but my dad had something similar! :smt003

Apologies to Fausto and D-R question 6 is for a 1983 bike. Dunno what I was thinking there, but could have been confused by the fact that when they came back to racing at the end of the 70's they use 4 stroke machinery.

Phew !

You'd even got me thinking that it must be another manufacturer's bike ... but without spoked wheels in 1971 .... was completely baffled!

Damn - not had time to look at this since the weekend (or was it monday?).
Will be trying to recover my PC tonight - so not likely to get much time then.

May have to submit "as it is" ... Gio, as Fausto says, please confirm deadline

Saturday lunchtime.

I'll be generous and say 1pm.

BTW there will be a prize for the 1st 3 correct answers. I haven't made up my mind what they are yet.

You are obviously not used to 'giospeak', so let me try and correct my faulty post.
1st three correct answers means to me the 1st 3 returns (as defined by the date and time they were pm'd to me) where, either all the answers are correct, or if its a tie the earliest pm'd to me.

I hope this clarifies the question.

PS I've had to much to drink again, so blame the vintner :smt003
